Patience = Purist

“To the attentive eye, each moment of the year has its own beauty, and in the same field, it beholds, every hour, a picture which was never seen before and which shall never be seen again.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

OK, I don’t get it.

Perhaps I never will.

Society has made it too easy.

Too many choices.

Take the quick and easy fix.

Nope. Not this Gal.

I’ll go down fighting. A purist at heart.

A purist: Is one who desires that an item remain true to its essence and free from adulterating or diluting influences. Wikipedia

As with photography, my passion.

I’m talking front-end photography. Not something that is created once the photo is shot.

Don’t like the picture you snapped? Use one of the many tools on the market to alter it.

Don’t like the sky color? Press a button and give it a tweak.

Don’t like the legs on that person? Swap them for another set.

Who knows what to believe anymore?

What is real?

Are there any purists out there?

The answer is yes.

Jim Brandenburg and his “Chased by the Light” project.

Jim took 90 days and took ONE PICTURE A DAY.

Snapped the shot once.

Imagine.

Only one picture. One time. Each day.

He made it count.

He had patience.

Follow along ~ and take a moment to see the beauty he saw…behind the camera lens.

Be a purist.

Why not try to just use what imagery is out there?

God given.

Follow along. Let me show you.

I’ll just shoot.

Until…

I get it right.

Until tomorrow ~ proud to be a purist ~ God willing,
